TriangleOS

TriangleOS is a 32-bit hobby multitasking, multi threaded Operating System for the x86 platform, written from scratch by me in C and assembly. It is not based on any other Operating System.

TriangleOS is/was purely a hobby project, and since there is so much more to do and explore, I actually haven’t touched all of this for quite a few years now. So people wondering when the next version will be released: I’m sorry to disappoint you, but I don’t think I’ll have time to work on this any further - or finally make a release out of 0.0.5 - for the near future.

On these pages you can find all the past changes, releases and updates on:

  • Triangle Operating System
  • VFDBS (Virtual File & Database System)
A replacement for the traditional VFS (Virtual File System) layer.

  • and a spin-off project called Triavid, a Web-Disk Service.
This Web-Disk Service was later turned into an online document, photo and email sharing / indexing service, called Qikx.

Both services are no longer available as of 2009. Its technology might be used in some future commercial services. If you want more information, contact me.
